Butler girls roll to 17-0 soccer win
Roxy Stalnaker and Emma Starr both managed a hat trick as Butler's girls soccer team crushed visiting Armstrong, 17-0, Wednesday evening.
The Tornado are now 6-5 overall and will play at Shaler on Monday.
Knoch 4, Highlands 0 — Lindsie Galbreath scored twice and added two assists in the victory.
Jenna Stallsmith added one goal and one assist, Natalie Brands scored once and Shiann Thomas contributed an assist for the Knights (8-3).
Becca Stockert and Bailey Gizienski combined for the shutout in net.
Wilmington 4, Karns City 3 — The visiting Gremlins (6-3-1) received two goals from Haley Scherer and one from Hannah Knoll.
Upper St. Clair 4, Mars 1 — The Planets' string of seven straight shutout-victories came to an end with this non-section loss, which drops the team to 8-1.

Knoch swept the singles matches and went on to post a 4-1 WPIAL Class AA playoff win over Blackhawk Wednesday.
The Knights (14-1) continue playoff action Thursday, taking on Beaver at 3 p.m. at Butler High School.

Sydney Rankin totaled 21 service points, including five aces, and Kaylie Merwin had 18 assists in A-C Valley's sweep of Clarion-Limestone.
Josey Terwilliger dropped 14 kills and Kylee Eaton tallied 22 digs in the 27-25, 25-8, 25-10 victory.

Chris Sicher, Shea Moffa and Cody Killian each shot a 37 to help Mars defeat Knoch, 197-206.
Ethan Clarke carded a 38 and Beau Rusnak a 39 for the Knights.
