CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The Butler Farm Show is Aug. 7 to 12 at the Farm Show grounds, Route 68.

Events include pulling contests, demolition derbies and music by The Rumblers, Echo Valley, Thorn Haven, Allegheny Drifters, and David Allen and the Roadworks Band.

Sing Hosanna! will host its Christmas in August dinner theater Aug. 12 at St. Peter’s Parish Hall, 127 Franklin St. There will be two seatings, one at noon and one at 6 p.m. The play will be “How Santa Got His Christmas Tree.”

[naviga:h3]Harmony hosts music festival[/naviga:h3]

HARMONY — The “In Harmony” Heritage Music Festival is 7 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Harmonist barn and other venues.

The festival will celebrate the traditional music of the Appalachian and Allegheny Mountain regions.

Performers include the Allegheny Drifters, Cello Fury, The Hill and the Rivers, Old Song Rescue Society, Pittsburgh Historic Music Society Orchestra, Snappin’ Bug String Band, Sarah Sternaka and Devin Sherman, “Gertrude Rapp” and the Silk House Singers, Well Strung, Pittsburgh Banjo Club, South Wind, Midnight Rooster, Mirror Trio, and The Wayward Companions.

JEFFERSON TWP — The Concordia Summer Festival behind the Lund Care Center features a worship service of thanksgiving, a choir, food and entertainment. Hours are 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at 134 Marwood Road. Admission is free.

[naviga:h3]Saxonburg site of dinner[/naviga:h3]

SAXONBURG — A progressive dinner with a Caribbean-theme is planned Aug. 9 in Saxonburg. Starting times are from 6 to 7 p.m. in 15 minute increments.

Diners will travel to Novotny’s, Curds and Molds, Batch, Kelley’s, Hotel Saxonburg, Main Street Bake Shop and Saxonburg Coffee. Cost is $55. Call 724-352-4200.

[naviga:h3]Wings of Freedom visits[/naviga:h3]

PENN TWP — The Wings of Freedom Tour featuring a World War II vintage Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell and North American P-51 Mustang will visit the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport Aug. 16 to 18.

Hours of ground tours and display are 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 and 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 18.
