SAXONBURG PET PARADE
Dogs, rabbits, cats and many other pets were among the 185 entries in the 1977 pet parade, the opening night event of the annual Saxonburg Carnival. Pet parade prizes totaling $100 were awarded that July. The carnival also included the traditional firemen’s water battle, pageants and firemen’s parade. This year’s carnival to benefit the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company concludes Saturday.
