9 p.m. Thursday — John Cox V, 28, of Lyndora was charged with simple assault for causing a cut to the face of the victim during an altercation. Township police were called to Butler Memorial Hospital where the victim was receiving treatment and upon investigation Cox was charged, arrested and placed in Butler County Prison.

3:04 Thursday — Renae Truesdale, 18, of Butler was involved in a vehicle accident on 540 Fairground Hill Road. She turned her vehicle left, causing an oncoming vehicle to crash into her vehicle. No substantial injuries were reported, and Truesdale was charged with a traffic violation. No information was reported about the second vehicle.

2:30 p.m. May 1 — Joseph Lauer, 44, of Karns City was charged with attempted theft by unlawful taking. He attempted to remove a $35 cell phone from a display stand at Verizon Wireless at Bon Aire Plaza. He was confronted by store personnel, who said police were going to be called. Lauer returned the phone and left before township police arrived.

Noon-12:30 p.m. Wednesday — Amy Lynn Allaman, 36, of Butler was charged with retail theft. She attempted to leave the Boscov’s department store in the Clearview Mall without paying for several items.

9:37 May 13 — Aloysious Jonathan Highhawk Watts of Sarver was charged with careless driving, driving on road laned for traffic, driving under the influence, and duty to give information and render aid.

He drove through a yard at 173 Marwood Road and hit a tree. He then fled and parked his vehicle four houses away, blocked in a driveway. Police were called, and he allegedly was found to be under the influence of alcohol by a state trooper.

2:10 p.m. May 11 — Vehicles driven by Robert Pruitt, 47, of Boyers and Daniel Montgomery, 50, collided on Route 308 in West Sunbury. No injuries were reported. Montgomery’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

11:30 p.m. April 9 — Cory Michael Godlewski, 19, of Cabot was charged with driving under the influence, possession or distribution of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor prohibited of operating with alcohol, and purchase, consumption, possession and/or transportation of alcohol.

Godlewski and a friend were in a parked car on 495 Pittsburgh Road when a state trooper in an unmarked car smelled marijuana from the vehicle. Marijuana and related paraphernalia were found in the car, police said.

There was no information about charges against the friend.

[naviga:h3]Cranberry Twp. Police[/naviga:h3]

8:07 p.m. Tuesday — Police arrested Kristen M. Fragola, 30, for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend Noah Wandel in their apartment on Cambridge Court.

They were allegedly having an argument that turned physical when Fragola struck him in the head, threw a drink at him, clawed at his neck and tore his shirt.

Wandel told police that he pushed Fragola, but did not hit her. His shirt was torn and he was bleeding from a cut on his neck.

Police also talked to her 8-year-old son who witnessed some of the incident.

She was arraigned Wednesday on charges of misdemeanor simple assault and harassment and released on her own recognizance.
