DeMatteis moves Moniteau to 4-0

Scores 20, adds 16 rebounds in 63-53 victory

Kristina DeMatteis recorded a double-double for the Moniteau girls basketball team in a 63-53 road win over Keystone to set up a showdown for first place in the KSAC South Division next Tuesday.

DeMatteis scored 20 points and 16 rebounds to help ensure the Warriors were unbeaten heading into their game against Karns City.

Alazia Greaves also scored 21 points for Moniteau (4-0, 2-0).

Cole Morris led Union (3-1, 2-0) with 22 points and four 3-pointers. Lucas Bowser added 17 points and four treys, while Hank Murphy had 14 points and three 3-pointers for the Golden Knights.

Chandler Turner led Karns City (0-1, 0-1) with 17 points and 16 rebounds.

Patrick Uher scored 16 points for Seneca Valley and Jack Cook added 11.

Mari Reott, Barbie Cessar and Tabitha Donaldson each won a pair of individual events as Slippery Rock's girls defeated Titusville 90-80 on Thursday.

Titusville won all 11 boys events and earned a 122-38 victory.
