Butler County Historical Society’s Senator Walter Lowrie House Museum is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Call 724-283-8116 or visit www.butlerhistory.com.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, will host its 11th annual Antique Gun Show Aug. 8. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Stewart Hall. Admission is $5, with proceeds benefiting museum operations. A light lunch will be available. Attendees can take items for experts to appraise. Call 724-452-7341.

Mars Shortline Railroad has tiny train rides available. As weather allows, adults and children can catch rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays through September at the Mars History and Landmark Society’s restored small scale B&O Train Station south of downtown at 1 Brickyard Road. The Old Stone House will offer cooking classes. Bake oven classes are available Aug. 15 and Sept. 19. Open hearth cooking classes are Aug. 8, Sept. 12 and Oct. 10.
