Knights claim 11th straight victory

Knoch managed all of its offense in the top of the fifth frame in a 4-2 baseball win over Mars on Monday.

Addis Crouch’s double sparked the inning, while Logan Hickey, Alex Stobert and Jordan Kowalski (two) drove in the runs.

Stobert earned the pitching win after striking out nine and allowing just two runs on three hits in a complete game for the section-champion Knights (14-1, 11-1).

Ty Reginelli singled and had an RBI for Mars (10-7, 8-4).

Elayna Nagy hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to give Seneca Valley the lead for good in a 7-4 win over Butler.

The game was originally scheduled for today, but was moved up to Monday to beat the forecast of rain.

Nikki Matz and Julia Zezinka each had three hits for the Raiders (12-3, 11-3).

Amanda Webb had a pair of hits to lead Butler (7-9, 6-8) in its final game of the season.

Heidi Fanton’s four goals and one assist paced Knoch to a 12-9 win over Indiana.

Ally Riley added four scores and Mikayla Spreng one score and four assists.

Elizabeth Butler, Taylor Carr and Brenna Moore each contributed one goal for the Knights (5-9).

Boys Lacrosse

Jamison Smith tallied 10 goals in Butler’s dominating 20-5 win over North Hills.

Nico Cicco scored five times and Gavin Terwilliger twice for the Golden Tornado (3-13).

Sam Lex, Danny Coleman and Zander Everton all contributed one goal.
