‘Monkey House’ opens
Butler Little Theatre will stage “Welcome to the Monkey House,” based on the works of Kurt Vonnegut Friday through Jan. 31 at the theater at One Howard St.
Curtain is at 8:15 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Porcelain subject of talk
The Maridon Museum will host a speaker on Meissen porcelain at 1 p.m. Jan. 31.
Author Friedrich Thiel will discuss “Meissen at The Maridon: Rare 18th Century Porcelain.” The program will run about 45 minutes.

Symphony hosts violinist
The Butler County Symphony Orchestra season will continue with “Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony” featuringviolinist Andrew Sords as the guest artist.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7in Butler Intermediate High School’s auditorium.

Jennings plans maple sugaring
BRADY TWP — Jennings Environmental Education Center will offer Home Sweet Home: Backyard Maple Sugaring from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with optional sugar bush tour from 1 to 2 p.m. Feb. 28.
Adults who would like to try making their own maple syrup can learn about choosing appropriate trees, tapping them, collecting the sap and the evaporation process.
