Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will have a prairie walk at 7 p.m. July 16. Celebrate the Bloom!, a day of free activities, is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 19, including prairie tours, demonstrations, food, artisans and music. Cruises aboard Nautical Nature include a 90 minute narrated tour of Lake Arthur, as sponsored by the Moraine Preservation Fund. Cruises begin at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets for adults are $11 online and $12 at the gate; for senior citizens, $9 and $10; and for children, $5 and $6. Children under age 2 are free, and children under 12 must be supervised. McConnells Mill State Park, Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, hosts “A Taste of History: Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstrations” from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday and Aug. 10 and Sept. 14. The gristmill is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Call 724-368-8811.
