Eyth 80th birthday

Nora Eyth

Nora Eyth of Butler celebrated her 80th birthday with a surprise party March 31 in Chicora. The party was hosted by her son John, his wife Antoinette and their family, and it was attended by 30 friends and relatives.

The former Nora Adams was born March 31, 1931, in Kaylor, one of 14 children of the late Ralph and Josephine Adams.

She has four children, Joseph Eyth of Texas, Shirley Champion of Kentucky, Mary Lou Celestin of Butler and John Eyth of Chicora.

She also has 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She has been employed by the Karns City School District, Chicora Medical Center, the Winn-Dixie Bakery in Waco, Texas, and Sam’s Club.

She is currently employed at the Center for Community Resources in Butler.

She has also served as a foster grandmother at the YMCA in Butler and as a greeter at the Butler City Building.

She enjoys collecting recipes and cooking, crocheting and playing the guitar.

She is a member of the Church at the Heights in Butler with the Rev. Matt and Amy Olson.
