Tornado rip through Hampton for 12-0 win

JoeyMarak and Alek Bollinger combined on a two-hit shutout as the Butler baseball team rolled to a 12-0 win over Hampton Tuesday.

Marak tossed four shutout innings before yielding to Bollinger, who struck out the side in the fifth inning to end the mercy-rule game.

John Crummy and BobbySwartwout each drove home two runs for the Golden Tornado (2-1).

In other games:

• Kyle Allen had a double and an RBI as Grove City pounded out 11 hits in a 12-2 win over West Middlesex in its season opener.

• Brian Best had a triple and a single, but Karns City fell toWestShamokin 14-7.
