Cody West sank six treys on the night, his bid for a seventh misfiring at the buzzer as the Butler County Community College men’s basketball team dropped a 73-72 decision at Westmoreland CC Monday.

West scored 29 points for the Pioneers (1-12, 0-3) while Tyler Copeland added 20 points and 12 rebounds. Shae Stobert had seven assists.

The BC3 women (1-11, 0-3) had only five players in suffering a 62-54 loss. Jen Barry had 22 points and eight assists, Shelby Johnston 19 points and 12 boards.
