2 injured in head-on crash on Rt. 8
A Jeep Liberty is loaded onto a wrecker following a two-vehicle crash about 8 a.m. Friday on Route 8 at Mahood Road in Center Township.
CENTER TWP — A head-on collision Friday morning on Route 8 and Mahood Road left two people injured and both vehicles badly damaged.
A state police accident report was not immediately available.
The vehicles, a Jeep Liberty and a Ford F-250 pickup truck, were apparently traveling in opposite directions on Route 8 in Center Township about 8 a.m. when they crashed.
The driver and passenger in the Jeep were taken by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries, said Nathan Wulff, chief of the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department.
Both vehicles had to be towed.
