Gesa Wellenstein of Horschbach, Germany, and Judd Everly of Chicora were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. May 27 at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora. The Rev. David DeWitt officiated. Areception followed at the couple's home in Chicora.
The bride is the daughter of Adolf and Ingrid Wellenstein of Biberach, Germany. Parents of the bridegroom are Don Everly Jr. of Chicora and Bev Everly of Slippery Rock.
The bride was presented for marriage by her sons Andy Perkins and Sean Perkins.
The honor attendant was Nicole Flowers of Nashville. The bridesmaid was Christine Schultz of Ginsweiler, Germany.
Performing the duties of best man was John Vandergriff of Kerrville, Texas. The usher was Shane Connor of Chicora. The bride's sons also served as ring bearers.
The bride is a 1988 graduate of Newton North High School and a 2001 graduate of Cameron University.
The bridegroom graduated in 1986 from Johnson Creek High School. He serves in the Air Force.
Following a honeymoon trip to Alaska, the couple is making their home in Chicora.
