Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

End of the year donations must be postmarked or received by the church office by Saturday to be included in 2011 contribution statements.

FAITH LUTHERANFaith Lutheran Church, 241 Freeport Road, will hold a New Year’s Eve service at 7 p.m.

FIRST BAPTISTFirst Baptist Church will have a 10:55 a.m. service followed by an 11:30 a.m. concert with the Songsters Trio on Sunday, 221 W. New Castle St.There will be no evening service.

GRACEWAY COMMUNITYVicki Palmer and Ruth Ferko will provide the music for Sunday’s service atGraceWay Community Church.A children’s happy New Year event will occur during the service.GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERANThere will be a pork and sauerkraut dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St. A New Year’s Eve service will be at 7 p.m.The church office will be closed Friday and Monday. There will be no youth group Sunday.The youth group will be serving at the community dinner at 4:30 p.m. Monday at First English.Youth group will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

HILL U.P.There will be no Saturday evening service this week at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The Rev. Mike Winship will be the guest preacher at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. service.Pulpit flower donations are needed for January 15 and most Sundays in February.The church office will close at noon Friday.

MERIDIAN U.P.Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., will host a family night bowling event from 7 to 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve at Meridian Lanes. Those interested in attending should register before Friday at www.meridianupc.org to register.Meridian United Presbyterian Day Care will be closed Monday. The trustees meeting is at 6:30 p.m. and the deacons meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. There will be no Sarah Elizabeth Circle meeting in January.

NORTH MAIN ST. CHURCH OF GODCoffee and doughnuts will be served at 9 a.m. Sunday at The Gathering Place, North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext.Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. Celebrate Recovery will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 5. Ray Saeler will lead the meeting.

OLD UNION PRESBYOld Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will supply Meals on Wheels desserts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in January. Give desserts to Linda Millson on Sundays or drop them off at Glade Run Church between 8 and 9 a.m. Desserts should serve about 40 people.Contact Lorene Winner to play on the church volleyball team this winter.Regular Sunday school and worship times will be observed this week, but fellowship time will be canceled due to the New Year holiday.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERANThe 10 a.m. Sunday service at St Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St, Saxonburg, will include Holy Communion. A New Year’s coffee fellowship and light breakfast will follow in the fellowship hall. Take a breakfast food to share.There will be no Sunday school this week. The office will be closed Monday.Sunday school needs clear plastic shoe boxes. Donations may be left at the church office.Council will convene for a special budget session at 7 p.m. Jan. 5.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERANSt. John’s Lutheran Church will celebrate New Year’s Day with Holy Communion at 11 a.m., 100 Main St., Connoquenessing. Guest Pastor Jean Staffa will lead the service.Desserts are needed for Meals on Wheels for the first two weeks of January.The January cause of the month is Meals on Wheels.
