6:26 p.m. — Police are asking the public for information about a vehicle that hit a mailbox on Isle Road in Franklin Township and fled the scene.Police said the vehicle may have damage to its passenger side, and it's missing its passenger-side mirror.Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the barracks, referencing incident number PA21-301836.4:49 p.m. Saturday — Police are asking the public for information about a vehicle that hit a utility pole on West Liberty Road in West Liberty.Police said the vehicle likely has front-end damage and may be missing a passenger-side mirror.Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the barracks, referencing incident number PA21-301459.3:34 p.m. Saturday — Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a Center Township home.Police said during their investigation, they determined a 39-year-old Butler man hit his juvenile son during an argument.Police said a witness provided a written statement, and the man has been charged.1:21 p.m. Saturday — Police responded to a one-car accident on Interstate 79 near mile marker 93.6 in Muddy Creek Township.Police said Ronda Calomino, 70, of Meadville, was driving south when she hit a deer.Police said Calomino was uninjured, but the vehicle sustained disabling damage.5:51 p.m. Friday — A woman reported an internet scam to police.Police said the woman was scammed out of multiple Nike gift cards by an unknown person on Facebook. The cards had a combined value of $10,000.Anybody with information about the incident is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.March 3 — Police charged Joan M. Sorce, 56, with a first-offense DUI.According to charging documents, police at 8:39 p.m. Feb. 17 witnessed an orange Subaru struggle to stay in its lane as it made a right-hand turn from Route 8 onto Mercer Road.Police said they followed for a brief period, as the car then took a right on East Brewster Road, at which point they initiated the stop.Police said there was a strong smell of alcohol when Sorce opened the window, and there was an open box of beer in the rear seat.The documents said a field sobriety test was conducted and indicated Sorce was intoxicated. Police said Sorce was argumentative throughout the process.Sorce later was taken to the Butler barracks for a breath test. Police said she again became difficult by not following instructions and pretending to blow into the device multiple times.The documents said an accurate test eventually was completed, showing a blood-alcohol content of .086. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is .08 percent.A preliminary hearing for Sorce has been scheduled for April 6.8:22 p.m. March 2 — Police investigated a one-vehicle accident on Evans City Road in Forward Township.Police said Ronald A. Fouse, 59, of Butler, was driving east on Evans City Road when his vehicle left the road to the right and hit a guardrail with the passenger side of his 2003 Jeep Liberty.Fouse was uninjured in the crash, but police charged him with a traffic violation.2:10 a.m. March 3 — Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 422 near its intersection with Mitchell Hill Road.Police said Nolan R. Weltner, 29, of Butler, was speeding in a 2007 Kenworth Aerocab when he lost control of the tractor-trailer.Police said the vehicle crossed the eastbound right lane and passing lane, hitting a concrete traffic barrier. The trailer lost its cargo of about 43,000 pounds of wire.A tow company removed the truck, but a crane company was needed to remove the wire from the road.Weltner was uninjured and charged with a traffic violation.4:19 p.m. Jan. 26 — State police charged Jose Rosado, 38, of Oil City, with retail theft.Rosado allegedly stole a Dynamite Metric Tool Kit, valued at $19.99, from Playthings Etc. in Clay Township.Police said video surveillance showed Rosado concealing the item and leaving in his vehicle, a 2010 Ford Expedition.Charges have been filed.
