Former Glade Run worker waives charges

EVANS CITY — A former Glade Run Lutheran Services employee waived charges of child endangerment Tuesday morning.

Paul A. Ream Jr., 37, of Cranberry Township was found by a co-worker in a Glade Run bathroom in Zelienople “lying face down in a puddle of water,” according to a police report. Ream was fired after the incident.

He was supervising a total of five children under 18 years old. A co-worker said Ream was gone for about 20 minutes, the report states.

Various drugs, empty stamp bags, a hypodermic needle and other supplies were allegedly found on his person.

Ream told police officers he used three bags of heroin, according to the police report.

He is charged with five counts of child endangerment, one for each child under his supervision.

Ream was released on his own recognizance. He will be formally arraigned at the Butler County Courthouse on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m.
