Allen L. Hoehn Sr.
Allen L. "Al" Hoehn Sr., 80, of 1104 Elfin Ave., Butler Township, died at 3:45 p.m. Wed-nesday at Alleg-heny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born in Butler Township, June 27, 1926, he was the son of Edgar G. and Augusta L. Bachman Hoehn.
He retired as a supervisor in the melt shop at Armco-Butler Works.
Mr. Hoehn was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
During World War II, he served with the Navy in the South Pacific.
He enjoyed gardening and using his scroll saw.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice I. "Bea" Hoehn, whom he married March 9, 1946; a daughter, Barbara Lee Hemphill Ganz, and her husband, Michael Ganz, of Holmdel, N.J.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. Hoehn Sr. and his wife, Diane Schultz Hoehn, and Allen L. Hoehn Jr. and his wife, Claudia Matula-Hoehn, all of Butler; a granddaughter, Mrs. Keith (Rebecca) Murtha of Clarion; four grandsons, Robert C. Hoehn Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, of Butler, Mark A. Hoehn and his wife, Kerri, of Pittsburgh, Brian W. Hemphill of Holmdel and Alexander J. Hoehn of Butler; five great-grandchildren, Emma D. and Benjamin K. Murtha and Chelsea R., Zachary O. and Daisey C. Hoehn; three step-grandchildren, Christian McHeffey, Karen Rauch and Eric Gantz; and six step-great-grandchildren, Peter McHeffey, Merideth Slifer, Caitlin McHeffey and Lauren, Kristen and Allison Rauch.
He also is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar G. and Dorothy Hoehn and Gerald E. and Nancy Hoehn, all of Butler; an aunt, Mrs. Mary C. Hoehn of Zelienople; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A brother, William J. Hoehn, preceded him in death.

"Al" Hoehn Sr., who died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Stroble officiating. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.Members of Joseph T.
