BUTLER TWP — One student reported a minor injury after a crash involving a school bus Thursday afternoon near the Butler Senior High School.

According to Butler Township Police, a Valley Lines Inc. bus and a Ford Explorer collided around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of New Castle Road and Campus Lane. The bus was transporting Butler Area School District students.

One student, who was a passenger on the bus, complained of a headache following the crash, Butler Township Police said. The student was not transported.

The steering system of the school bus was damaged after the crash, police said. The bus was to be towed for repairs.

Two Butler Township Police cruisers and one Butler ambulance responded to the scene.
