Players for the Institute Hill Mustangs lift head coach Art Montelone up in the air Oct. 18, 1969, after winning the Butler Area Midget Football League championship 25-0 over Center Township at Alf Allam Field in Butler Memorial Park. This year's varsity championship game was scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. Saturday at Butler High School's Art Bernardi Stadium, and in a sense, the same teams were set to meet. Institute Hill has since merged with South Side to make East Side, but Center Township is still the same.
