The Butler Weightlifting Club, based out of the Butler County Family YMCA, poses for a photograph Nov. 17, 1969, before the annual Thanksgiving open meet to be held Nov. 22 at the YMCA. Butler's team fielded 17 entrants and at least one in every weight division. Many regional teams also fielded competitors.
