JEFFERSON TWP — The annual Concordia Festival will be from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. July 30 under the tents in the Lund backyard, 134 Marwood Road.

Entertainment will include the River City Brass band, Combo-Nation and the Chiodi Trio. There will be children’s activities and picnic food.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 12, Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 30, The Lowrie Place, 100 Stirling Village Drive

Seniors completing the course will receive a 5 percent reduction in their automobile insurance premiums for three years.

HARRISVILLE —The Disability Options Network will host a free workshop for parents and professionals titled “Developing a Strong IEP and Transition Training” at 10 a.m. July 22 at the Harrisville United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St.

Presented by the Parent Education & Advocacy Leadership Center, this workshop will explore the parents’ role in special education, the process of developing the individual special education plan for students with disabilities, parental rights through the procedural safeguards and transition services.
