Friday — Police charged Scott Francis William Marlin, 23, of Summit Township with felony trespass after he allegedly entered a woman's apartment on Greenview Drive shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday. The woman told police that Martin has never lived there and had no keys to the apartment, according to court documents.Police said it appeared the suspect allegedly got into the home through an open window.

Monday — Police accused Molly B. Farren, 19, of Petrolia of allowing a 17-year-old Chicora boy to drive her vehicle while he was drunk last month. Police said they stopped the car at 3:12 a.m. Aug. 17 at the Sheetz store on Evans City Road.The boy, who police did not identify, has a junior license and is not permitted to drive after 11 p.m. He is charged with driving under the influence. Police said Farren, a passenger in the vehicle, was cited for permitting a violation of title.Additionally, Farren is charged with corruption of minors and underage drinking.Police cited another passenger, Travis Duttine, 20, of East Brady, Clarion County, for possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a marijuana pipe in his pocket.Two other passengers, 17-year-old girls from Parker and East Brady, were cited for underage drinking.Monday — Police charged Lanny F. Abel, 65, of Butler with driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop Aug. 29. Abel was stopped at 7:47 p.m. for driving at an “extremely slow” speed on Whitestown Road, causing traffic to back up at one point for one quarter of a mile, according to a police report.In addition to DUI, Abel is charged with driving with a suspended license.

Sunday — An Apple iPod was stolen from a 21-year-old man's living room at The Heights Apartments on Stillwater Lane in Slippery Rock Township. The same man's car also was vandalized in the apartment's parking lot. The crimes occurred between 1 and 8 a.m.Saturday — An unknown burglar made off with a 43-inch Sony flat-screen television from a home on Shuler Road just south of Snyder Road in Clearfield Township. The burglary happened between 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.Friday — A purse, wallet and $6 in currency were stolen from an unlocked car on Carriage Lane just south of Plantation Drive in Clinton Township. The theft happened between 7 p.m. Thursday and 8:15 a.m. Friday.Thursday — An identity thief opened a credit card account using a 51-year-old Clinton Township man's personal information, and then used the card to make $2,898 in transactions. Police did not say if they have any suspects.Sept. 10 — Unspecified property was stolen in a burglary at a house on Halston Road in Clay Township. The burglary forced open a door to get inside the home between 7:10 a.m. 5:35 p.m.

12:40 p.m. Saturday — One person was hurt when a car ran a red light and hit a motorcycle at Water Street and Route 422 at the Edgewood intersection in Manor Township. William F. Bennett, 62, of Clarendon, Warren County, who was wearing a helmet, was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC-Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.Following the collision, the car, driven by Zachary L. Babinsack, 21, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, struck a metal traffic pole. Police said he was cited for a red light violation.

Monday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reported that a Freeport bar has been cited for violating the state liquor law.Novotny's on Fifth Street on Aug. 2 and 3 allegedly permitted a loud speaker that created too much noise. The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who can impose penalties.
