Joy L. McCauley, 77, of Eau Claire died at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca, Venango County, after an illness.

Born in Bradford, Jan. 15, 1930, she was the daughter of Herman and Marjorie Loucks Haese.

She was a Protestant.

Mrs. McCauley graduated from the Milford School of Nursing in Buffalo, N.Y. She practiced nursing at the Kane Hospital for 30 years and retired in 1984 after 10 years at the Franklin Hospital, now UPMC-Northwest in Franklin.

She loved all forms of crafting and especially enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and crocheting. She also was involved in ceramic.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rick (Lynne) Sullivan of Hilliards and Mrs. Robert (Alayne) Jacobs of Eau Claire; three sons, Ken A. McCauley Jr. of Kane, Gary K. McCauley of Nashville, Tenn., and Dale L. McCauley of Hilliards; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Kenneth A. McCauley Sr., died March 16, 2001. She also was preceded in death by a sister.

<B>MCCAULEY </B>— Friends of Joy L. McCauley, who died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Main Street-Route 38, Eau Claire. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Bright, pastor of the Scrubgrass Stone Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler County Hospice or the Lutheran Home in Kane.
