8:50 a.m. Tuesday — Sheri L. Brahler, 48, who is homeless, was allegedly caught with a buprenorphine and naloxone strip in her purse following her arrest on a bench warrant on Woody Drive. She did not have a prescription for the drug, police said. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
10:15 p.m. Jan. 29 — Police said they found Brandyn L. Gutauskas, 26, of Slippery Rock with a crack pipe and copper scrubber following a traffic stop last month on North Main Street hill near Filbert Road. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday — Jonathon R. Blackwell, 35, of Center Township was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop last month in Butler. Police said they stopped his pickup about 1:40 a.m. Jan. 2 on East Jefferson Street for having a faulty brake light and suspended license plate.
Blackwell admitted that he had marijuana and a marijuana pipe in the truck, according to court documents. Police seized the items. Blackwell was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test that showed he had marijuana in his system.
In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, he is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and driving a vehicle without insurance.
Tuesday — Police charged Rachel L. Sharlow, 25, of Jefferson Township with driving on marijuana in connection with a traffic stop Jan. 30 in Butler. She was pulled over about 1:40 a.m. on Morton Avenue for having a faulty headlight.
She subsequently tested positive for marijuana, toxicology results indicated, according to court documents.
Sharlow is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a lighting violation, careless driving, failing to carry her vehicle registration and failing to notify authorities of a change of address.
9:53 p.m. Feb. 12 — Ronald E. Northime, 74, of Fenelton lost control of his pickup due to sudden weather conditions and struck a tree along St. Joe Road east of Charlain Drive in Oakland Township. He was not injured, but his truck had to be towed.
1:16 a.m. Feb. 12 — Gary Koval, 38, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Mercer Street in Butler.
11:59 p.m. Feb. 10 — Daniel L. Ristity, 34, of Butler was arrested after a domestic dispute on Freeport Road in Jefferson Township. He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $1,500 bond. Police also cited Amanda E. Ristity, 38, of Butler for harassment in the incident.
2:34 p.m. Feb. 8 — Christine M. Filges, 44, of Chicora allegedly was caught shoplifting meat and other merchandise at the Clearview Mall Giant Eagle store in Center Township. Police said she bought unspecified items at the store but inside a purse she hid the other merchandise that she did not pay for at checkout.
Some of the shoplifted items, which totaled $120.95, included a Delmonico steak, ground meat, chicken breast, breakfast sausage and beef jerky. She is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.
1:59 a.m. Feb. 8 — An unidentified all-terrain vehicle, described as a red side-by-side model, struck the driver’s side door of an SUV on Harrisville Road in Cherry Township. Jacob L. Shilling, 22, of Grove City, was driving the SUV. He was not injured. His vehicle sustained minor damage. The operator of the ATV did not stop after the wreck.
Feb. 8 — A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Portersville Park and Ride on Stanford Road in Portersville. The vehicle part, valued at $1,200, was stolen between 5:40 a.m. Feb. 7 and 2:40 p.m. Feb. 8. Anyone with information is asked to call 724-284-8100.
1:59 a.m. Jan. 26 — A Washington County teenager lost control of his car and struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. George E. Ashmore, 19, of Houston was not injured, but his car had to be towed. Police cited him for disregarding traffic lanes.
