3:14 a.m. today — Acar driven by Aleesa Ray, 18, of Butler crashed into an embankment on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Ray was treated for unknown injuries at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.Sunday — Jewelry and clothing were taken in a burglary between Tuesday and Sunday from the Nye Lane home of Natalie Stockman in Muddy Creek Township.10:23 p.m. Saturday — Jessie Icenhour, 29, of Valencia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a steel pole along Mars-Evans City Road in Forward Township. Police noted that two children, ages 4 and 6, were riding in the car and not in child safety seats. No injuries were reported.7 p.m. Saturday — Acar driven by William McNeish, 20, of Butler crashed off Route 38 near East UnitedRoad in Cherry Valley, hitting a garage owned by Wilfred Henry of Valencia and a van owned by Edwin Callender of Eau Claire.5:42 p.m. Saturday — Acar driven by Ruth Cypher, 81, and a pickup truck driven by Kevin Spohn, 39, both of Butler, collided at Route 356 and Fisher Road in Jefferson Township. The pickup, following the crash, collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by Jared Kaib, 27, of Gaithersburg, Md. Police said Cypher was cited for an illegal left turn.2:25 p.m. Saturday — Aminivan driven by Linda Allison, 59, of Hilliards and a truck driven by a 17-year-old boy, who police did not identify, collided on Route 38 near Fairview Road in Washington Township.1 p.m. Saturday — An unexploded pipe bomb was found in a mailbox at the Chestnut Ridge home of Eugene Brown in Franklin Township. The state police bomb squad was called and detonated the device. No one was injured.Police have no suspects. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.9:40 a.m. Saturday — Apickup driven by a 17-year-old Chicora boy struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof on HookerRoad inConcord Township. The boy, who police did not identify, suffered minor injuries.7 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Richard Lynch Jr., 19, of Butler slid on ice-covered Sunset Drive near Holyoke Road and collided with a car driven by Thomas Rice Jr., 51, of Chicora.5:30 p.m. Friday — Robert H. Kriess, 48, of Center Township suffered minor injuries when he lost control of his pickup and crashed into a utility pole on ice-covered Benbrook Road near Brewster Road in Center Township. The crash sheared off the pole. Police said Kriess was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4:45 p.m. Friday — Ice and snow was blamed for a three-car crash near the Jefferson Street exit of Route 422 in Jefferson Township. Police identified the drivers as Annmarie Luken, 41, of Butler; Dale Duespohl, 42, of Hurricane, W.Va.; and Danielle Smith, 19, of Karns City.4 a.m. Friday — Acar driven by Ankur Garg, 27, of Alexandria, Va., crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Garg was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Wednesday — An unknown amount of money was stolen in a burglary between 4 and 9 p.m. at the Herman Road home of Michael Hertz in Summit Township.10:05 a.m. Tuesday — Ronald Casella, 54, of Cranberry Township lost control of his car and struck a guardrail after a deer ran into the side of the vehicle on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.
7:42 p.m. Saturday — About 2 pounds of suspected marijuana was seized from a vehicle stopped on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township. Arrested on drug charged were Erik Raul Hernandez, 20, and Joseph Moeller, 20, both of Pittsburgh.Police said that both suspects were arraigned on charges and placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $50,000 bail each.6:20 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Brandon Valasek, 19, of Ford City skidded on ice-covered Route 128 near Fifth Avenue in South Buffalo Township, and collided with an SUV driven by Robert Belasco, 53, of Kittanning. Valasek was treated for minor injuries at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning.5:18 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Curtis Cutts, 23, of Ford City crashed into the side of Buffalo Bridge after skidding on ice-covered Route 28 in South Buffalo Township.
