Students in the South Butler County School District will enjoy enhanced learning, thanks to three local businesses that prioritize the importance of education.

Stephen Muck, CEO at Brayman Construction Corp. in Clinton Township, recently presented a check for $45,000 to the Knoch Knights Legacies Foundation through the state Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.

In addition, Johnna Simitoski, president of First National Bank, presented the foundation with $10,000.

Maria Amoruso, chief marketing officer for NexTier Bank, also donated $10,000 to the foundation from the financial institution.

Both banks also used the EITC program to make the donations.

The donations will be used to support the foundation's mission to enhance and enrich the student experience in the school district by funding Creative Education Grants.

Teachers apply for the grants year round, which have ranged from large technology-related equipment to give students manufacturing experience, to large musical instruments to be loaned to students.

The foundation has participated in the EITC program since 2014.
