Nov. 4, 9:36 p.m. — Police responded to a vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township where they smelled alcohol on one of the drivers, Joseph Jordano, 20, of Erie. Police conducted a breathalyzer and a sobriety field test but did not indicate what the results were. Police said Jordano also admitted to smoking weed a few hours before the crash. Jordano was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.Nov. 4, 9:19 p.m. — Corey A. Greenly, 32, of Chicora hit a deer that was crossing the road on Kittanning Pike. No injuries were reported.Nov. 4, 8:34 p.m. — Mckayla McGinnis, 21, of Butler was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after police stopped her car that was missing a rearview windshield on Freeport and Kemper Roads. Police administered a standardized field sobriety test and she allegedly showed signs of impairment.
Oct. 31, 6:23 a.m. — Larry Massella, 68, of Butler was charged with communications with 911 systems, a third degree misdemeanor. According to police, Massella called the Butler County Communications 911 line nine times wanting to speak with an officer about a nonpolice matter. Police said they warned him each time that the police could not solve his issue.Oct. 30, 9:16 p.m. — Christopher Lee Earnest, 37, of Butler was stopped by police on Hansen Avenue near the Speedway. During the stop, police charged Earnest with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operation of a vehicle following the suspension of registration.
