LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BAND
PMEA District Band Festival participants in January 1972 included Knoch High School students, from left, front, Gail Mittica, Marcia Gillespie, Sue Reuning and Judy Franke and back, Forrest Weaver and Ed Glace. The 2009-2010 district 5 band event takes place Feb. 10 to 12 at Rochester High School. District 5 of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association encompasses Butler, Beaver, Lawrence and Mercer counties.
