Yvonne Marquer, Miss Pennsylvania 1971, crowns Patti Sommariva Miss Butler County 1972 on Jan. 29, 1972, at Butler High School. Sommariva went on to compete in the Miss Pennsylvania contest March 9 to 11. Marquer, who took the last name Zanos when she married, worked for KDKA-TV for many years and recently passed away because of complications with ovarian cancer. This year's Miss Butler County/Miss Moraine State pageant is scheduled for Feb. 27 in the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.
