Hines, Acre
Megan Hines and Ben Acre, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C., were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg. The Rev. James Boos officiated. A reception was held at Armstrong Farms at Westminster Preserve.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Carol Hines of Saxonburg. Parents of the bridegroom are Ron and Marlene Acre of Cabot.
The honor attendant was Michelle Poteet of San Antonio, Texas. Bridesmaids included Heather Fera of Hope Mills, N.C.; Natalie Perschke of Saxonburg; Alyce Porch of Butler; and Jessica Williams of Sewickley. The junior bridesmaid was Annie Perschke of Saxonburg.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Greg Acre of Cabot. Groomsmen included Jared Hammond of Butler, Colby Owen of Kittanning and Justin Schweiss and Luke Schweiss, both of Sharon. The ring bearer was Erick Poteet of San Antonio.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2006 graduate of Mercyhurst College. She works for Horry County Schools in Conway, S.C.
The bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Knoch High School and in 2006 from Slippery Rock University. He works at Shaftesbury Glen Golf and Fish Club in Conway, S.C.
The couple is making their home in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
