Mary Turk
Mary Turk of Center Township celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at a gathering at Armco Park.
The former Mary Kosar was born Sept. 22, 1916, in Butler. She married the late Clair Turk on June 7, 1941, in Beallsville.
She has two children, Richard Turk of Winchester, Va., and Karen Pressler of Center Township.
Mrs. Turk was the “snack lady” at Butler Intermediate School during the 1980s.
She is a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. She enjoys word puzzles and watching “Matlock,” “Perry Mason,” “Judge Judy” and old movies.
