Alvin Rettig

Alvin George Rettig of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot celebrates his 90th birthday today.

Rettig was born on Nov. 8, 1926, in Butler. He married the late Bertha Margaret Herold.

He has four children, Margaret Meindl of Butler, Robert “Bree” Rettig of Frederick, Md., Bonnie Isovitsch of Chocowinity, N.C., and Roger Rettig of Butler.

He also has 10 grandchildren.

Rettig retired from Armco Steel in 1983.

He is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. He and his wife led Lutheran Pre-Cana and Marriage Encounter.
