Myers 51st anniversary
Carl and Lois Myers of Saxonburg celebrated their 51st anniversary. Earlier they enjoyed an open house with friends and family at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg.
Myers married the former Lois Keene on Nov. 18, 1965, at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.
They have two children, Brian Myers of Saxonburg and Susan Davison of Evans City.
They also have four grandchildren.
Myers served in the U.S. military for three years during the Vietnam War. He was a journeyman steamfitter for Local 449 for 46 years.
He plays trombone in the Harrisville Community Band, sings in local choirs and drives a bus for Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and hairdresser. She retired after 51 years operating her own beauty salon in Saxonburg. She retired from Fair Winds Manor as a hairdresser in 2013.
She is involved in Christian Women’s Club in Butler and has a passion to bring others to Christ.
The couple enjoys camping, motorcycling and spending time with their family.
The Myerses are members of Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church and involved in many church activities.
