Butler wrestling bows in WPIAL tourney
Butler’s wrestling team stayed with Latrobe in a WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinal Wednesday night, but three falls in the final four bouts earned for the host Wildcats a 39-26 victory.
Landon Christie and Jake Pomykata earned pins for the Golden Tornado against Latrobe at 189 and 285 pounds, respectively.
Butler (12-3) reached the quarterfinals by defeating Armstrong, 49-18, earlier in the evening.
