Mars School Board approved a number of items Tuesday night, including:

- An agreement with Adelphoi Education Services for next year

- Awarding the grand piano replacement to Vittone’s Music Center at a low bid of $47,500

- An employee life insurance renewal with Boston Mutual Insurance

- An agreement with Pressley Ridge

- An agreement with RAR Engineering Group, Inc. and Penn Power in relation to the Route 228 project, at no cost to the district

- The attendance of students and chaperones to the Innisfree Basketball Tournament in Florida Dec. 26 through 30

- Adopting policies 219 (student compliant process), 248 (unlawful harassment), 249 (bullying/cyberbullying) and 323 (tobacco)

- Debbie Brandstetter as the county tax collection committee delegate and Kris Barr as her alternate

- Barb Fichter, Rose Brooks, Andrea Delaney, Hannah Sciulli, Veronica Sciulli, Katie Snyder, William Rodina, Thomas Krigar and Owen Ferguson as summer custodians

- Tylor Takacs as a learning support teacher, salary and benefits subject to the new contract

- Emily Dressen and Heather Rhea as teachers, salary and benefits subject to the new contract

- Laura Cutuli as a secretary, with salary and benefits totaling $37,013

- David Graham, Jan Nicholson, Christine Ramsey, Stacie Tirk and Gilbert Watson as district van drivers

- Purchasing translator equipment totaling about $2,263 for Title III

- Purchasing iPads, cases and manager licenses totaling about $11,046 for Title IV.
