A Butler County woman is accused of claiming to be a trooper after being pulled over by a real one in Center Township.

Michelle F. Carrier, 42, of Clay Township is facing several charges including impersonating a public servant stemming from the incident last week.

Trooper Clayton Lehmeier came upon Carrier after he stopped her May 6 on South Benbrook Road for driving a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker, police said. But she allegedly refused to give her license, registration and insurance information to the trooper.

“The driver then identified herself as a State Trooper with 43 credits in the State Police,” according to Lehmeier’s affidavit.
