Demolition progresses quickly
Demolition of the fire-ravaged building at 339 Center Ave. has moved quickly. The 127-year-old structure housed a diner and eight apartments before is was destroyed by fire March 26. Center Avenue, which was closed to accommodate the work, was reopened to traffic Wednesday night. The contractor, AP Wise Excavating, has additional time to remove the debris.
