A Karns City teenager suffered unknown injuries last week when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving rolled over on Slater Road in Allegheny Township, state police said.

Matthew A. Thompson, 19, was thrown onto the road at about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday near Valley View Lane, according to a police report. It was unknown if he was wearing a helmet.

An Emlenton Ambulance crew tended to Thompson before he was taken to a nearby landing zone where a STAT MedEvac helicopter flew him to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not available Sunday.

Police cited the teen for driving too fast for conditions.
