Butler software company lauded

Kelly and John Giles of Future POS show their company's Gold Award.
Future POS wins industry award

For the 10th time in 11 years, Future POS has won an award from the Retail Solutions Providers Association.

This year marks the fourth consecutive year the Butler company, which developed Future POS Software, took home the Gold Award in the software category at the 2017 RetailNOW event in Las Vegas.

John Giles, the company’s president, called the award one of the few ways companies in the retail point-of-sale business can measure how effectively they’re performing.

“The RSPA is the only organization dedicated to the point-of-sale industry, and consequently their awards are the only real report card for how well we’re doing compared to our competitors,” Giles said.

Giles and his wife, Kelly, are both Butler natives. He founded the company, which serves more than 18,000 restaurants worldwide and employs more than 60 people locally, in 1998. Kelly joined Future POS as vice president in 2003.

The company develops and delivers point-of-sale software for restaurants and hospitality businesses around the world.

The company works with more than 80 dealers and partners to deliver its software, which helps businesses customize and run systems that range from user interfaces seen by customers to report-writing programs used by management personnel.
