Guests view the Elementary School Art Show at The Art Center.

The annual Elementary School Art Show continues through Saturday at The Art Center.

Students awarded ribbons and membership in the Associated Artists of Butler County for their entries were:

The next exhibit at The Art Center will be the Middle and High School Art Show opening March 11.Drop-off dates are noon to 6 p.m. Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Entry forms, payment and gallery ID labels must be received with the artwork.A reception and awards ceremony will be from 7 to 9 p.m. March 13. Categories will be the same as for the Elementary School Art Show, plus a category for printmaking.Scholarship opportunities are available from the art department at Slippery Rock University. Scholarships are redeemable with acceptance to the SRU art department for fall 2015.Scholarship awards will be juried by SRU art faculty and announced at the show's reception.Gallery hoursThe Art Center is open from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
