SENTENCINGS
Judge William Shaffer handed down the following sentences Friday:
Joshua M. Tisak, 26, of Ambridge, Beaver County, was sentenced to 90 to 180 days in jail, 54 months of probation, 60 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence. Tisak was immediately paroled after receiving credit for time already served for his inpatient program. He was charged Dec. 15 and pleaded guilty July 9.
Gustav Just, 38, of Wexford, Allegheny County, was sentenced to 90 days to six months in jail, 54 months of probation, 75 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence. Just was immediately paroled with the first 90 days of his parole on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Just was charged April 30, 2019, and pleaded guilty June 29.
Jerry Phillips Jr., 33, of Butler was sentenced to a total of 11 and a half to 23 months in jail for simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and terroristic threats. He was immediately paroled with credit for time already served. He must also serve two years of probation, comply with mental health recommendations, and pay $500 to the victim and $889 to an insurance company. Phillips was charged Nov. 2 and pleaded guilty July 31.
Jared T. Biedenbach, 23, of Butler was sentenced to one to two years in jail, 90 days of probation on house arrest, three years of probation, 150 hours of community service and $3,500 in fines for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license while under the influence. Biedenbach was immediately paroled with credit for time already served. As part of his parole, he must spend the first year on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Biedenbach was charged Aug. 1, 2018, and pleaded guilty June 17.
Brian Patrick O’Donnell, 36, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation for disorderly conduct. O’Donnell was charged Sept. 27 and pleaded guilty June 29.
Jon E. Haye, 57, of Karns City was sentenced to five years of probation with the first two years on house arrest with electronic monitoring for possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy possession with intent to deliver. Haye must also pay $609 for lab fees.
Marlee C. Wiles, 29, of Kittanning was sentenced to five years of probation with the first nine months on house arrest with electronic monitoring for being an employee of a corrupt organization. Wiles must also pay $581.60 in lab fees. Wiles was charged Oct. 7, 2019, and pleaded guilty July 9.
Connor F. Hinton, 25, of Chicora was sentenced to 90 to 180 days in jail for driving under the influence. Hinton was paroled with the first 105 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Hinton was charged Aug. 13, 2019, and pleaded guilty July 9.
Derek L. Terrell, 39, of Butler was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail, 60 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine for driving under the influence. Terrell was charged Oct. 7 and pleaded guilty July 17.
David B. Konar, 48, of Butler was sentenced to nine to 23 months in jail, 37 months of probation, 100 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence. Konar was immediately paroled with the first nine months on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Konar must also pay restitution orders of $500 and more than $23,000 to an insurance company. Konar was charged May 7, 2019, and pleaded guilty July 20.
Jeffery D. Isbell, 29, of Mercer was sentenced to 18 months of probation and $150 in fines for recklessly endangering another person, careless driving and six summary traffic offenses. Isbell was charged Aug. 28, 2019, and pleaded guilty July 27.
Shawne D. Balash, 55, of Volant was sentenced to 90 to 180 days in jail, 54 months of probation, 25 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence. Balash was paroled with the first 105 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Balash was charged April 22, 2019, and pleaded guilty July 27.
In a second case, Balash was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail, 54 months of probation, 60 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence. Balash was charged April 18, 2019, and pleaded guilty Oct. 9.
