BUTLER TWP — An electrical fire caused minor damage in the wall of a home in the 200 block of Rural Road at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

No residents were hurt, and firefighters managed to contain flames to the wall and extinguish them using a fire extinguisher, according to Mike Schmidt, assistant chief for the Butler Township Fire District.

The fire caused less than $5,000 damage, Schmidt said at the scene.

Besides his department, the VA Butler Healthcare Fire Department, Butler Ambulance Service and the Butler Bureau of Fire’s chief all responded, Schmidt said.
