Moniteau runners nip rival KC, 27-28
Jake Taciuch finished second with a time of 18 minutes, 56 seconds to help the Moniteau boys cross country team edge Karns City by a point, 27-28 Tuesday afternoon.
Union's Beau Rankin placed first in the boys race, but the Golden Knights didn't have enough runners to qualify as a team.
John Garing placed third for Karns City.
The Moniteau girls also beat Karns City, 25-35.
Emily Schumacher finished first for Karns City with a time of 20:02 and KC's Emily Jones was second, but Moniteau had the next five placers for the victory.
