May 21 — Mary Jane Putnam, 51, of Butler was charged with having drug contraband earlier this month in the 300 block of Franklin Street. Police said they found her May 5 while investigating an unrelated call.

An officer said he noticed Putnam drop a crack pipe and Chore Boy copper scrubber. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday — Police charged Sarah J. Ross, 29, of Butler with being inside the Butler Commons’ Walmart on May 19. She was barred from the store properties in 2014.

She is charged with defiant trespass.

3:52 p.m. Saturday — Frank Rice, 51, of Chicora suffered an apparent minor injury when a car rear-ended his sport utility vehicle on Whitestown Road. Rice at the time was stopped to make a left turn onto Chesapeake Street.

Police cited the other driver, Brian J. Neigh, 28, of Butler, for driving at an unsafe speed. His car had to be towed.

[naviga:h3]Grove City Police[/naviga:h3]

9:11 p.m. Friday — Justin W. Galbraith, 40, of Harrisville was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance at West Main and South Center streets.

Police said they also found him with suspected marijuana and other drug contraband.

Galbraith is charged with DUI, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

5:55 p.m. Sunday — Jamin P. Klingensmith, 38, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 at Rose Point Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
