Carnival worker arrested at Farm Show
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — A carnival worker is behind bars after he was caught Tuesday doing drugs in the bathroom at the Butler Farm Show grounds, authorities said.
State police said John Borrero, 30, of New Port Richey, Florida, admitted flushing marijuana down the toilet when security officers walked in him shortly before midnight.
A tip led the officers the bathroom at the farm show grounds on Route 68 where Borrero was reportedly ingesting drugs, according to court documents.
Security personnel told investigators that they also saw him thrown a red bag behind the toilet.
Police opened the bag and found suspected cocaine, 13 empty stamp bags of suspected heroin and two syringes, documents said.
Borrero told authorities that he is working the carnival attractions at this week's farm show.
District Judge Kevin O'Donnell arraigned Borrero on possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 following arraignment.
His preliminary hearing is Aug. 16 at the office of District Judge Wayne Seibel in Evans City.
Court records showed that Borrero listed a McKees Rocks, Allegheny County address on Dec. 13, 2014, when Bellevue police arrested him for shoplifting.
