Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has tours that include the 1809 main museum building and wine cellar and a neighboring early 19th century house, both built by the communal Harmony Society, and a Mennonite log house, from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays and holidays. PITTSBURGH
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, hosts free yoga on the front lawn at 9 a.m. Sunday. Family yoga classes also will be on Sept. 18 and Oct. 23. Phipps is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and until 10 p.m. Fridays. Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens and students and $11 for children ages 2 to 18. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents the interactive, walk-through Butterfly Garden featuring a variety of native butterfly species in the outdoor Rose Garden daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through mid-September, weather permitting. ToonSeum, Pittsburgh’s Museum of Cartoon Art at 945 Liberty Ave., hosts work by the nation’s leading editorial cartoonists through Aug. 28. Museum hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays; closed Tuesdays and major holidays. Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave. in Oakland, hosts the traveling exhibition “50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic,” which showcases some of the magazine’s most compelling photographs, from Steve McCurry’s Afghan girl to Michael Nichols’ iconic image of Jane Goodall, through Sept. 11.
