Pa. politicians will attend inauguration

U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, has RSVPed to attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Joe Biden today.

His office did not elaborate on Kelly's decision to attend.

U.S. Rep Glenn “GT” Thompson, R-15th, will also attend the inauguration.

“Congressman Thompson is scheduled to attend the inaugural ceremony, as he has with each incoming president since he was first elected to Congress,” according to an email from his office in Washington, D.C.

Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., also plans to see Biden inaugurated.

“He will follow all of the necessary social distancing guidelines,” indicated an email from Casey's headquarters. “He and his wife, Terese, look forward to witnessing this transfer of power to the new Biden-Harris Administration. Additionally, Senator Casey plans to observe the moment of silence for COVID-19 victims the evening prior to Inauguration Day.”
