JEFFERSON TWP — Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will host Camp Good SAM, an overnight bereavement camp, from Aug. 18 to 20 at YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer in Fombell.Those interested must complete an application and interview before attending. Camp Good SAM is free and open to all grieving children.Male volunteers, counselors, teachers, coaches and nurses are needed. Lifesteps' will offer free child check screenings on the following dates:• 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Butler YMCA, 339 N. Look Good ... Feel Better, a program designed to help women overcome the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment, will hold its next session from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital, 911 E. Brady St.Classes are taught by professional licensed beauty professionals and are open to all women undergoing cancer treatment. Classes are free, but registration is required by calling 800-227-2345.

LYNDORA — A Tanglewood-sponsored bus trip to Wheeling Island on Wednesday costs $28. Reservations are necessary and available by calling Dawn at 724-287-0021.
