Julia Sizer of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, surrendered herself Thursday morning after initially denying being in the Capitol to an officer in a phone call Jan. 29.

An Ellwood City woman is being charged with four counts in relation to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

According to the Department of Justice, Julia Sizer surrendered herself Thursday morning after initially denying being in the Capitol to an officer in a phone call Jan. 29.

The Lawrence County woman is being charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.

According to a criminal complaint, Sizer could allegedly be seen on video entering the United States Capitol building about eight minutes after the original surge forced through the door. She remained in the foyer area for less than three minutes, then exited the building through the door she entered.

The footage did not show Sizer causing damage to the Capitol building, taking anything from inside or causing physical harm to any person within, according to the criminal complaint.
